What is D-Board made of?
D-Board is light, rigid, printable, waterproof (surface) and
fully recyclable with other cartonboard waste. The structure of
the product is made 100% from recycled cartonboard, which
combines the best features of corrugated board and honeycomb.
Thanks to its rigidity and super-light weight, D-Board does not warp. It has good heat- and sound insulation properties and can also be produced in a fire-rated quality (B1).
How is D-Board processed?
On a CNC machining and modelling table (e.g. Kongsberg).
On a special flatbed digital inkjet printer or silk- and flexo-printing machine. UV colours can be printed directly using a Flatbed digital inkjet printer.
In order to obtain a gloss finish, D-Board can be coated with varnish.
D-Board can be battened with special profiles to give the product a complete and finished look.
The edges of D-Board can be protected with paraffin wax or epoxy resin for example, which will make the product water- and splash-proof
